This one starts the same way as The Lordings Rough Loop, round the back of the Kinglsey Chase development, through pretty woods and fields, over an airstrip and railway, down to the historic Wey and Arun Canal, and back to Billingshurst. It’s called Lucy’s Loop because she set the pace and decided where we should go. It a combination of walks we have done and some paths we hadn’t tried before.

The What3Words link will take you to the start of the footpath that runsround Kinglsey Chase, but there are plenty of free parking spaces nearby in Natts Lane and Daux Avenue. Be careful of time retrictions if you park on Lower Station Road.

Start from the footpath from Marringean Road, and follow the app. When you are crossing Hadfold Airstrip and railway crossing make sure to keep your eyes open on the ground and in the sky for aircraft movement and follow the footpath. When crossing the railiway make sure the light is green before you go and be sure to look up and down the track before you cross.

The walk is just over 6 miles of mostly easy footpaths and tracks. It’s well signposted and takes around two hours burning about 795 calories in just under 12,500 steps.
