The Crab and Lobster, by the historic Sidlesham Quay, has long been a fishy favourite of ours so we were delighted to discover some of the walks offering so much variety, with the added bonus that we can get back to the restaurant for lunch!

The longer loop takes you around this beautiful area with two options over 6 or 7 miles, but this short loop gives you almost as much variety in a little over 3 miles making it a perfect pre-lunch option as well as making it suitable for little legs. You still walk through the country and along part of the national cycle path, but you will cut down to join the North Wall Trail along the banks of Pagham Harbour, through the RSPB nature reserve.

Here there are fabulous views at all states of the tide, and plenty of wild life and birda to watch, but be aware if you stray off the route as some of the Pagham Harbour footpaths become submerged at hide tide, and can get very muddy and slippery.
