The Kirdford Pub loop is a fabulous easy walk through the village and the Leconfield Estate woodlands, across open fields and back round behind the stud farms. It’s mainly flat and easy going with easy to follow signposts.
The footpaths are not all shown on the Footpath Planner app, so the route is hand drawn and not automatically clipped to a defined path, which is not problem as the paths are well signed and easy to follow. If you feel you are off track just keep an eye on the blue line.
As you come back into Kirdford you pass through the stable yard at Normandie Stud so make sure any dogs are on the lead and kids under control, and keep your eyes open for the oversized chickens and white peahen.
There are two good pubs The Half Moon (gastropub) and The Foresters Arms in the village for refreshments and meals, plenty of places to park. The location link will take you to the roadside opposite The Half Moon, outside St. John the Baptist Church.
